Luke 17 - Advent 2010

Today we read chapter 17 of Luke.
Here we read Jesus speaking about faith. He says that faith can't be spoken of as more or less. That what to us is minuscule, just the smallest of seeds, is enough!
You see too often we think faith is what we do or what we have. Rather, faith is more about who we have faith in. It is about the faithfulness of the person we have faith in.
That is the power of the season of Advent and Christmas its the faithfulness of God! That in the struggle of Mary and Joseph, the wide eyed wonder of the shepherds, the majestic gifts of the wise men God is at work and he is faithful! He loves us so much he sent his son in flesh and blood to live and die to restore relationship!
Remember this Advent it is a time to celebrate that God is faithful!
