Christmas reaction

For a little while I have been posting how many sleeps till Christmas on FaceBook. I don't do it every day just every now and then.

What is interesting is that people inevitably comment about shopping and that they are not ready nor prepared.

The question is just how prepared can or do you need to be? The Israelite nation had been looking for their messiah for a very long time before Jesus arived, yet hey were neither ready or prepared.

It is my prayer that this year people are ready for Christmas not that the shopping is done and that all the trimmings are placed just right on the table, but rather that we are ready to see Jesus, to hear his call on our lives, to celebrate the joy of living covered by his sacrifice!

So I hope you are able to enjoy Advent this year, because it is the celebration of the coming of Christ, the arrival of the Light of the world!
