Who is your Lover?

Early advice from a mentor I've sometimes forgotten: "Love the church, but don't let the church become your lover."

Great quote.  Who is your lover?   Do you sit and talk about Christ or the church, do you steel away to go spend time  with Christ or the church as a lover does to be with their lover?  Do you forget where you are going when driving because your mind is pondering Christ as a lover does when dreaming about being with their love?

We must be sure that Christ is who we love and that the church is not given the place of our lover!
