It is a day here in Australia that we ponder the spirit of the ANZAC. We take time to be thankful for the sacrifices made for us by our troops in days gone by and the current sacrifices being made.
We live in peace (in Australia) and prosperity (yes even in the GEC) we have much of this because others stood in the way of those who would try to take it away.
So thanks to those who gave so much and to those who still give.
One thought that I had as I watched some of the ANZAC day march and services on the TV was that the men and some women who went to war were young. One 21 flying lancater bombers! 21! I wonder if we have some need to adjust society a little. We don’t give the young people enough respect I am sure. I think that we need to expect more from the younger generations, I am convinced that if we did we would get more as a society out of them.
So I wonder could we this ANZAC day win the battle of society’s decay by allowing our young people to take on more of a leadership role in society?
