A tribute to Adrian.

As many of you are well aware Victoria has been in the grip of the some of the most devastation bushfires in the history of this great state!  A friend of mine lost a great mate in the fires and has written and recorded a song in memory.

Hello everyone. 
On Saturday February 7th 2009, the horrific bushfires in the state of Victoria, Australia took the lives of some precious friends of mine. Their names were Adrian & Mirrabelle Brown and they had 3 young children named Eric, Matthew and Brielle. They were a young family who were almost exactly the same age as my husband and I and our 3 young children.
Their deaths have had a profound impact on me and my family as we were close friends.  Adrian and I would 'talk' via email or chat pretty much daily. One of the last big conversations we had was about music. Adrian was probably my biggest fan, and my biggest encourager when it came to my song writing and singing. Just over a week before his death, Adrian sent me a song called "Cath" by a band he likes. He said he'd been sitting on it for a while because he didn't know if I'd like it. (I think he thought I was a much tougher critic than I really am!)  Anyway, he thought it was very cool that there was a song with my name in it and said "There aren't any songs with Adrian in them". So then and there, I decided I was going to write one for him. I didn't tell him that though as it was going to be a surprise.
Well, I have written that song now. It isn't anything like I'd planned it to be, but then I didn't plan on living out the rest of my life without him in it.
Was it hard to write? No. Was it hard to sing? Absolutely.
So, please listen to my song called "Adrian". It isn't the best recording, it isn't the best singing, but it's the best tribute to a simply sensational friend that I could create.
