Diuris punctata

For those out there that feel inclined, a friend sent me this via email.

Our Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment have recently been approved to show images of several Threatened Species of flora and fauna on 2009 Car Registration Stickers.

One of the options is a threatened Terrestrial Orchid species and is very dear to my heart as I actually grow it in my orchid house.

SO I'M ASKING ALL OF YOU TO ADD YOUR VOTE TO

Diuris punctata

by going to the following website:

www.dse.vic.gov.au\threatenedspecies

There is one extra benefit - someone's vote will be drawn (no entry cost!!!) and the winner receives the framed artwork of the winning entry. - If you win, send me a scan of your prize.

ALSO, the image of the orchid was taken by a good friend of mine, Mr. Mike Duncan, who is currently President of Australasian Native Orchid Society Inc. of which Bev & I have been members for nearly 30 years.

It won't take long to enter.

SO why not vote, it can't hurt...
