CHILDREN are increasingly being identified as victims of family violence in Victoria, with reported incidents increasing by 42 per cent in four years.
Rising interest rates, work stresses and an increased police focus on home violence have seen the number of child victims of reported domestic incidents jump 42 per cent in the past four years.
Children aged up to 18 account for more than one in 14 reported domestic violence casualties, up from one in 19 four years ago, police figures supplied to the Herald Sun reveal.
Abused preschoolers are also being referred to support services in increasing numbers.
