Scripture reading 4:14-21
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
Observation
Just these few verses carry a weighty amount of truth. Firstly Paul urges the Corinthian Church that he is not just writing this to bring shame but rather to bring correction to make them all that they were meant to be, just as a parent wants the best for their families. He calls them to follow him, to be imitators of him. This in itself is a big call to make. How many people are there, who could make a call like that? The passage goes on to one of the most significant passages of Scripture, Vs 20. The Kingdom of God is about power, not getting power but being impacted by it. You cannot touch electricity and stay the same! You canĂ¢€™t drive a car and stamp on the accelerator and not be impacted. The kingdom of God is like that too! If you allow it to connect with you it will impact you, it is powerful!
Application
How much do you allow yourself to be touched by the Kingdom? Let it in, let it touch your life and allow the power to change you!
Prayer
Creator God, maker of all the universe, thank you for the kingdom of power that can change my life, I open myself to you, come and touch me, impact me and change me to be a kingdom person.
