Garbage in is Garbage in

Scripture Reading 3:10-22

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

Observation

We live in a world that is getting heavier, no not that the earth itself is getting heavier but the people who live on it are! There are greater heart issues, greater allergy issues in many ways the Western world is getting sick. We are bloated! Paul calls the church in Corinth to build houses that are valuable and will survive testing. The metaphor has changed from the farmer to the builder the truth remains. We build only on the foundation of Christ that is alive in us, but what do we build? You donĂ¢€™t put a good foundation in and then build a rubbish house, we invest and build quality houses, why then do we build houses of faith, built on Christ that are made of bit and pieces of little effort and value?

Application

Is your life being built well? Is it a life of quality and worthy of Christ? What in your life needs renovation? Where in your life can you start to make changes that will see it become a worthy temple for the dwelling of God?

Prayer

Lord God creator of everything, I confess that the life I live is not fit for your inhabitation, help me renovate my life, prompt me as to what and where to work on. May I become a temple worthy of your indwelling!
