Exercise – they reckon 20 minutes three times a week will do it. Exercise can include walking, dancing, weights and, of course, sex… Hmm? Sorry, I got distracted…oh, that’s right… Don’t compare yourself to others. My goodness, you are who you are with the genetic boundaries you inherited. Work within those boundaries, people! Most movie stars who you may look at and think are great have a personal trainer and don’t do anything else but train…and adopt kids from third world nations. That’s just impractical. Celebrate any small victories. Lost a kilo? Celebrate (not with a cake!!!)! Added some muscle? Celebrate! Any small change is worth celebrating. Listen to your partner. They probably find you scrummy just the way you are (of course, if they have an obesity fetish, this might not be helpful). Don’t beat yourself up when you stuff up! None of us will stick to a weight loss or exercise program 100% of the time. Accept the odd step backwards in order to move forward later.
Go to a doctor. They’ll soon tell you if you need to lose or gain weight.
