Well it is done and dusted and England complete the Ashes defense with little more than a whimper! All I can say is YES!!!!! AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!! Could not happen to a better country! The aftermath of the 2005 series in England the narrow win gave England and their press far too much confidence! They won only just in 05 and the result shows that England are an average side that caught the Aussies amid a form slump and injuries. So 05 saw the Aussies give up the Ashes and in 06 -07 they won them back 0 -5 fitting really, 05 lost won them 05!
England were pathetic and were only able to show bits of form every now and then, but could not maintain form for more than a day! They did not have more than one person at a time do anything of any note and the results show!
It is funny how a series can be summed up in one ball, The ball of the century in 1993 summed up that series and in this one it was Harmisons first ball of the series that summed it all up, "hopeless". wide taken by second slip. England were about that far off the rails and the Aussies were all over them.
So farewell Warne, McGrath and Langer. You will be missed. Now bring on the Pajamas and the white ball and GO AUSSIES!
