Go well Trescothick!

Waking to the news that after two warm up games Marcus Trescothick has had to return home due to the stress illness that he has been battling over the last 12 months. I want to say go well Marcus. I hope that people treat him with the dignity he deserves.  I think it is great that he has had a go and got on with living life.  For him to have not tried would have left him worse than having tried!  Life is to be lived to the full and there is no fuller way to live than on the cricket field!  I hope that the carnivorous English press and the rest of the world press pack treat Marcus with the same concern as they would treat some one with a recurring cancer.  Yes some will say that he will not die but that is clearly not the case.  Stress and depression are killers. The sickening wave of suicide in the Australian farm community is a prime example of this fact!

So with only 8 days till the ashes begin may we concentrate on the cricket and let Marcus Trescothick recover under the support of all!
