Leading

I read this quote recently "the NT Speaker has joined a Christian chorus in denouncing much of what is condoned within our broader secular community." on the Online Opinion site.  Is this not what we want leaders to do?  When did the idea arive that a leader should follow the wider community?  I want leaders to lead me in the right way to stand on their morrals, to have the freedom to think, to agree or disagree with the comunity.  To lead!  They need ot defent their view and sell it to me, to show me the rightness of their ideas and lead!  If every one is wrong, the fact that every one agrees does not make it right! If one person is right, then the fact that every one else disagreees that does not make them wrong!
