I was thinking today about Jesus and the ministry that he had. So much of the gospels are taken up with the lesons that the disciples needed to learn. Times like this one from Matthew 15:16-18  "Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them. "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' Now that is being told! Jesus did not mess around he goes right to the point!
But I am sure that there were times that are not recorded. Times when they were walking, talking, eating just going about life. Times when Jesus was not pinning them to the wall for an error or mistake. Times when he was not telling them anything.
We need to go the journey with people through life. The risk is that we spend the whole time trying to make a point, attempting to teach people and show them their faults. This needs to happen but we need to earn the right to do that by living with people. I am sure Jesus allowed the disciples to make mistakes, to get it wrong and I am sure that they got it right some times too!
So we need to remember even if we are right we need to take time to spend with people and wait for the right times to teach them a leasson!
