Did we meet them?

I read this quote today from a British survey completed in 1994 by the Christian Research Association.

“are more interested in relationships than in receiving information about God or church…need churches that are caring – not just friendly…a more likely to respond to churches that are [genuinely] interested, than those that are interesting…are looking for relevance, not history…” 

Although this is a British survey I think that it is true of life in Australia to.  The question is did we meet their needs?  Did we provide places that care and are interested rather than interesting and friendly?  With the growth of entertaiment churches I fear the answer it no as a very general judgment!
