The changes in Church

There are changes happening in churches, they are chaning from within and changing from the loss of people drifting away.  Maggi Dawn posted about it here. This quote

"...the problem is with the church, but [it’s] also because we will not pay the price of orientating our lives around following Jesus together…” 

 I find interesting, how do we as the church engage with this world.  What changes do we make, what things to we hold fast to?  There is no point losing what is fundamental to our faith for people to not be willing to orientate their lives to follow Jesus anyway.  We will be left alone with out a deapth to our faith.
