Jesus walks on ice

I read a theory that Jesus walking on water could be explained by the fact that there could have been ice there at the time.  The full article can be read on the Age.  So if this is true so what! It would just mean that there are other miracles in the story.

1. The ice was there.

The very fact that the ice was there right where Jesus needed it to be is the first of the miraculous!

2. Jesus did not fall off the floating ice.

Jesus must have had some serious balance to be able to surf and ice burg through the stormy water.  Surfers for Jesus would be very please to know that their saviour was the first surfer of all time!

3. that the disciples were able to row or sail their boat across a frozen lake.

If the lake was frozen over why did hardened fishermen try to row or sail across it?  If it was not completely frozen over why did hardened fishermen not notice the ice (surely they would have seen this phenomenon before now) and thus understand why Jesus was able to perform such an act of trickery.  the ice was big enough for Peter to step out of the boat, yes he did sink but initially he was able to stand and then Jesus was able to help him up.  this was quite a feet of skill whilst standing on wet ice in roman sandals.  I guess they were just astounded to see the first surfer.

4. The storm stoped when Peter and Jesus go back into the boat.

Still pretty cool miracle!

So what ever the case it is miraculous and people that spend their time disproving the bible are generally just making sure that they do not have to address the God whom the bible speaks about.  It is a great diversion technique!
