Night Lights

On the way home the other night after working until late on a server I was struck by the city lights. (No they did not fall and hit the car)  There are lights everywhere! There are lights on trees, buildings, signs, they are everywhere!
My first thought was wow what does it cost to run all of this?  But then my mind drifted deeper, Jesus said that he was the light of the world

John 9:5 "For as long as I am in the world, there is plenty of light. I am the world's Light." (The message)
The world has put lights to cover every part of the darkness!  However the world shows all the signs of getting darker not lighter.



I wonder if all the lights are man's feeble attempt to live without God.  It does not matter what we do or how bright we make the night we can not cover over the darkness of mans heart, for this we need Jesus Christ the light of the world.  So walk in the light.
