South African Wingers

South Africa are beginning to run the risk of looking like wingers. We expect to put up with it when England are in town but not South Africa.

Graeme Smith has a lot to say of the field and is quick to be critical of Australia's play. If you are going to have so much to say you have to be prepared to accept the same scrutiny back.

Andre Nell has received racial taunts from the crowd and now we hear it was said in Afrikaans now the only people I Know who can speak Africans are expat South Africans not Australians so the behavior is not un-Australian it is South African. Now don't get me wrong the behavior is wrong and should not be condoned but don't blame Australia it is a throwback to a racially divided South Africa.

Now they have issues with the Aussies over appealing and placing undue pressure on umpires but from what I watched they were happy to ask the question whenever they felt like it, just ask Simonds (you could see leg stump) The Umpiring in the last test was terrible but it was bad across the board. What was the issue with the wide calls when Warne was bowling? And then what appeared to be the make up calls when Botha and Rudolf were bowling.

Next they are outraged at Botha being looked at for a suspect suspect action. What is the issue? The first over I saw him bowl it. looked odd to me! So again South Africa need to stop complaining about every one else and address the coaching that let the action get to the point it is at!

So South Africa fix your backyard first up and stop winging!
